Q. What is Hyperbidder?
A. An intermediary where advertisers can find ad space based on targeted industries or regions and publishers can designate space for advertising and then allow advertisers to bid on that ad space.

Q. How much does Hyperbidder's service cost?
A. The service is free to publishers. Advertisers set their own price by bidding on a publisher's advertisement space and they only start paying when the advertisements begin to appear on the publisher's website.

Q. What is a publisher, advertiser, etc.?
A. Various definitions to terms Hyperbidder uses are available in the glossary.

Q. How does Hyperbidder make money from this service?
A. Hyperbidder collects a 25% commission from the amount advertisers pay to the publishers.

Q. How do I create an advertisement banner?
A. Banners can be created in a variety of image editing or animation programs, including (but not limited to) Photoshop, Flash, and Illustrator. Most ads are one of the following three file formats: .gif (usually an animated GIF), .jpeg (image), or .swf (Shockwave Flash format). If you do not have the resources to create your own advertisement media, Hyperbidder offers an ad creation service from our Flash Development team, as well as links to websites that provide ad media creation services.

Q. Will my chosen publisher's website accept Flash, video, etc.?
A. Decisions on acceptable advertisement file formats are left up to the publisher. This information is available when browsing campaigns.

Q. Will my chosen publisher's website accept advertisements with mature content?
A. Decisions on acceptable content for advertisement media are left up to the publisher. This information is available when browsing campaigns.

Q. How does Hyperbidder get the advertisements on my website if they do not have access to my server?
A. Publishers add a few lines of HTML code provided by Hyperbidder to their webpage. This code allows Hyperbidder ads to be called to the publisher's webpage and also collects statistics to accurately measure hits, CPM, and CPC.

Q. Wouldn't it be easier to just contact a publisher and negotiate costs with them individually?
A. No. Uploading an ad banner and participating in the bidding process take only minutes to complete. Also, Hyperbidder acts as an independent third party by retrieving accurate data (hits, CPM, CPC) from publishers.

Q. Wouldn't it be better to use another advertising service?
A. No. Other advertising services often allow only links instead of banners or fail to ensure targeted advertising by not matching up advertisers with publishers correctly. Plus, only Hyperbidder lets advertisers set their own price for ad space.

Q. How do I become a Featured Publisher with Hyperbidder?
A. Featured Publishers are the three publishers with the most advertisers in a particular industry, sub-industry, city, state, or zip code. If you want to become a Featured Publisher, you must work to gain more advertisers.

Q. How does Hyperbidder prevent people from driving up impression rates?
A. Hyperbidder counts multiple hits in a 24-hour period from a solitary IP (Internet Protocol) address as one hit. This prevents someone from constantly refreshing a webpage in order to increase the number of impressions.
